From combustion engines to fulfillment centers, advertising analytics to website development, I have an unquenchable thirst to understand how things work. This originally led me to a degree in mechanical engineering and working as a product development specialist; over time, however, my passion has expanded to the numerous facets of business operations and entrepreneurship. Today, I'm the owner of BackerClub - a small online business that adds excitement to the crowdfunding industry and helps creators bring their ideas to life. I'm the geek you knew in high school that spent their Saturdays competing in math competitions. I'm also the weirdo you know that's jumped out of a perfectly good airplane over and over (200+ times, actually). Think shy dude with the 3D printer and soldering iron smashed together with outgoing dude that will go knee-down mid corner on a Suzuki at the racetrack.I know, a tad strange. But yea - you want to grab a coffee and chat about the latest Laravel framework release and review a pull request with me? You got it - I'll bring my MacBook. Looking to catch me on the weekend? No problem - stop by my local rock climbing crag where you'll likely find me 60ft off the ground, clinging to a half-pad crimp as I shimmy my foot to the next hold. My curiosity continues to lead me (along with my wife and baby boy) to interesting places, whether that be in front of an LCD monitor making the next cool software feature or enjoying the view from the top of a mountain peak.
