My main responsibility as security in Sheffield University is to ensure that all students and customers are in a safe and enjoyable environment. This has given me the opportunity to work with a variety of people with different situations. It has increased my customer services skills and given me the confidence to interact with a range of people. Working in the student union provides me with the opportunity to see how small events are run and this has enabled me to feel more informed and confident when organising events.
