After an exemplary eleven year career in the British Army I have now left to pursue a career that draws on previous experience and allows progression within the security, emergency management and business continuity sectors.Since leaving the forces I have consistently pursued academic qualifications firstly as a certified security consultant, secondly in the study of terrorism, and now presently I am conducting a postgraduate degree in Business Continuity, Emergency Management and Security. These qualifications and experiences have provided me with a diverse and broad knowledge of resilience. This allows me to understand issues that can present themselves as having a detrimental effect on an organization.Currently working as a security and emergency management officer at Chester Zoo as 24 operations need to be conducted due to the threats posed from large and dangerous animals.
