Currently overseeing all outside plant (OSP) construction projects, encompassing long haul fiber, FTTX, and HFC for Carrier and Enterprise customers. Leading the development of tailored strategies to streamline field operations through upfront engineering and process oriented models.

Oversight of managers in various disciplines and indirect supervision of subordinates consisting of both employees and contractors. Responsible for maintaining corporate initiatives by adhering to budget, timeline, and quality of work.

Management position responsible for the maintenance and construction of new and existing GFCS, AUNW, AUNE, AUNS, and other company terrestrial long haul fiber systems. Direct supervision of company personnel and oversight of contractors’ project performance as well as contract administration. Ensure compliance with FCC, OSHA, NEC, NESC, State of Alaska and other regulatory and/or customer specific requirements applicable to long haul fiber optic systems, with emphasis on safety. Responsible for the development, scheduling, budgeting, forecasting and tracking of projects relating to ongoing maintenance and new construction of the long haul fiber network. Work closely with OSP Design and Management to make recommendations of changes to network. Responsible for over 1100 miles of fiber from Prudhoe Bay, Alaska to Valdez, Alaska along the pipeline route and along the Parks Highway.

Senior engineering position designing telecom solutions, planning for growth, and facilitating engineering projects within the GCI Industrial Telecom Group for customers such as BP and the ExxonMobil Point Thomson project. Engineered telecom infrastructure for Fire and Gas projects at BP. Engineered various telecom related disciplines across several modules and pads for the ExxonMobil Point Thomson project including CCTV, IP switching, Outside/Inside plant cabling, GPS, fiber optic patching and public address. Developed resource requirements to include labor, materials and equipment. Developed Bill of Materials and oversaw procurement. Developed installation packages, oversaw project execution, and provided technical oversight. Oversaw document development for turnover to client. Worked with teams in the design and installation of 2-way Radio Systems, SONET/Multiplex transport networks, Microwave Networks, IP Telephony Networks, Router and Switch Networks, ISP & OSP cabling, and other custom systems unique to the project. Provided technical leadership and support to other internal and external groups. Worked closely with operational support staff, project groups, engineering, sales teams, and program managers to ensure proposed and implemented solutions met customer requirements and are operated in such a manner to meet the agreed level of service.

Write engineering specifications for installation of various servers, microwave radio transmission and fiber /copper muxing equipment.Provide cost effective solutions to meet customer bandwidth requests in a timely manner.Order equipment, parts and scheduled arrival of gear for individual projects as well as large-scale team oriented projects. Outside Plant Planning and Engineering DesignPlanned for future growth in a given wire center by geographical route, and create a feeder administration plan to provide feeder relief incorporating remote terminals, fiber plant and copper plant. Input project information into Oracle, Access, and Mechanized Inventory Control (program unique to AT&T) databases for tracking of capital budget within the long range planning department.Worked extensively with design engineers, finance departments, and upper level management to budget capital expenditures and investments in order to generate revenue while holding down repair costs in existing facilities. Trained several individuals on procedures for feeder administration plans as well as other departmental procedures. Worked with a team of talented individuals in order to meet deadlines in the deployment of new technologies in the North Texas region.

Worked closely with outside plant engineers and planning engineers to provide telephone services to commercial and residential customers. Worked extensively with high-speed data circuits. Coordinated with Special Services prior to installation to perform stress level testing on digital circuits. Made recommendations to design engineers to expedite placement of plant facilities.
