I’ve been in the music industry for over 40 years, and it’s been one hell of a ride. It all started back in 1979 when I answered an ad in a Chicago newspaper looking for a producer. I thought, “Why not?”I applied and the rest is as they say… history. Since that time, I’ve had the opportunity to be the “LED video guy” for some legends in the industry. I’ve worked and toured with Randy Travis, Reba McEntire, Brooks and Dunn, Rascal Flats, Jimmy Buffet, The Backstreet Boys, and so many more. Remember when you watched Alicia Keys performed on the Great Wall of China with Cyndi Lopper, and Boys II Men? We made that possible. I was they guy for five Presidential Inaugurations, Six Olympic Games, and Pope John Paul II’s visit to St. Louis. They all needed the best video production and displays possible, and we (My company I-Mag) always delivered. Over the years, I’ve taken the good with the bad and the ups with the downs and made it through when a lot of other people got chewed up and spit out. It’s definitely not the easiest place to build a career. That famous quote by Hunter Thompson has always resonated with me because it has a lot of truth to it!“The music business is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs.
