Also present classroom instruction on both diving and contingency operations. Navy Mission Essential Task List (NMETL’s) and 1500.1 NCF Training Requirements skills had to be tracked and recorded to ensure the commands ability to deploy safely. We maintained an 87% skills attainment which was 5% higher than most of the Naval Construction Forces. Taught demolition operations with live fire exercises quarterly on the range to keep demolition and weapons qualifications current. Taught Convoy operations and Immediate Action procedures.

Conducted diving training with others to obtain their individual diving qualifications • Performed duties as project manager, planner and estimator in all areas of the UCT MISSION utilizing P-35 (UCT table of allowance), P-990, P-991, P-992 UCT inspection and repair techniques, UCT expedient repair, Arctic Operations manuals respectively. Planned and executed over 8 highly specialized underwater construction projects. Two of these projects were Underwater Construction Team first’s, one being a directional drilling project to terminate offshore cables through an extremely hostile surf zone. This ensured a long life expectancy for the cables. The other being a heavy timber pier system where all building materials from the pile caps down were steel and concrete encased piles. I was chosen as the project planner/manager because of my proven track record, marine construction knowledge, and ability to complete all previous projects on or ahead of schedule.• Specifically involved in Fleet mooring inspection and installation. Pier and bridge inspections and repair to concrete, wood, steel structures. Directional drilling for future cable installations, and underwater welding and cutting operations, lift bags, dredging, tunneling and jetting operations. Hydrographic survey and inspection, stabilization of underwater cable and pipe systems. • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Project, and Adobe Acrobat. The previous mentioned programs were used in lesson plans, projects, exercises, reports, awards, and presentations that I taught, planned, executed, and presented.
