Water Production Supervisor
CurrentJune 2014 - PresentWater Production Supervisor• Performs responsible supervisory work in water production maintenance and water production operations. • Assigns and directs a crew of 10 direct reports daily and a crew of 18 indirect reports frequently, in the repair and maintenance of buildings, structures, and mechanical equipment at the 65 MGD water treatment plant, water pumping stations, and other assigned facilities.• Directs the repair and maintenance of filters, clear wells, flocculators, clarifiers, piping, conveyors, compressors, sludge pumps, and related equipment. • Leads crews performing equipment maintenance, facility maintenance, HVAC, manual labor, and installation of new equipment at the water treatment plant, pumping stations, and other facilities. • Supervises the Pumping and Dewatering functions, directing staff and facility operations. • Prepares progress reports and maintains records on the conditions of the properties, tools, and equipment and orders replacements as necessary. • Coordinates a safety program, provides in-service safety training sessions, and instructs employees in safe work procedures and methods. Performs crew scheduling, performance reviews, coaching, mentoring, and training. • Assists in giving input on yearly budget of 15 million dollars and helps plan for 5-year CIP equipment upgrades and replacements. • Utilize Oracle CMMS to assign and track maintenance activities. Purchase equipment and supplies through Infor computer purchasing system as well as credit card utilization.
