I serve as the Chief Policy Officer at the Tennessee Higher Education Commission (THEC). I and my team serve as the primary architect of the state’s innovative outcomes-based funding formula, overseeing its implementation and reaching out to key stakeholders to make the formula more accessible and influential. I also produce all appropriation requests while researching practices and policies that help make institutions more effective and affordable. Prior to THEC I served as Assistant Dean of Admission and Financial Aid at Davidson College, where I recruited, assessed and yielded applicants for one of the nation's premier liberal arts colleges. I also analyzed and calculated thousands of financial aid applications. I am currently purusing a Doctorate of Education from Peabody College at Vanderbilt University.
