2001-2004 – Road Patrol Officer – Maintained order, enforced laws and ordinances, issued summons, investigated accidents, conducted complex interviews and interrogations with victims, witnesses and suspects, prepared detailed reports in a timely manner. Selected to Crisis Negotiations Unit based on my excellent communication skills. Provided testimony in criminal court.2004-2008 – Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) Officer – Presented the D.A.R.E. curriculum to 5th grade students, participated in community service events, utilized computer programs, i.e. Word and PowerPoint. Developed/conducted safety presentations to community groups.2008-2009 – The Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (C.A.L.E.A.) Officer. – Kept the department in compliance with standards. Brought the department back to current status. Revised/drafted policy and procedure manual.
