This role involved the development of content and teaching of students for unit 92526, Data Management in Sport and Exercise. This included training students in data collection, management, and application within sport and exercise contexts, focusing on data governance and ethical practices. I also teach students advanced data visualisation tools and techniques to aid in decision-making processes. As an industry supervisor for unit 92554, Exercise Assessment, Prescription and Delivery, I guide students in applying theoretical knowledge to practical assessments and interventions in real-world scenarios.

In this role, I led the Triathlon physiology network, collaborating with sports scientists to enhance athlete performance. I contributed to research, processes and performance analysis of triathlon to support Australian athletes to achieve success.

Performance Scientist supporting NSWIS Triathlon and Sprint Canoe.

This role supports the provision of ‘world class’ technical expertise and service delivery in Physiology and Sport Science, providing physiology services to targeted sport programs, as well as being the central point of contact for NSWIS Physiology laboratories and testing requests. Additionally this position is tasked with maintaining the laboratory facilities, equipment and related documentation in accordance with the National Sports Science Quality Assurance (NSSQA) accreditation guidelines across all relevant disciplines, with a primary responsibility to support Physiology & Nutrition.

This role provides individualised and team based Strength and Conditioning/Exercise Science support to the Canberra Brave. Specific duties includeCoordinating and running periodised off-season, pre-season and in-season resistance training sessions for players.Implementation of individualised anaerobic/aerobic testing and individualised conditioning sets for efficient use of ice time.Provision of post training/competition recovery strategies to assist with repeat performance and recovery.Education of players/coaching staff on scientifically beneficial strategies to potentially effect positive behavioural change and improved performance.Implementation of cost efficient testing and training methods to provide high quality services while ensuring team resources can be utilised across the program.The combination of communication, organisational and scientific knowledge to provide useful information to a range of personalities within the team environment.
