Live Better is the loyalty program that rewards Medibank members for living healthier lives. As Head of Partnerships, I lead the Partnerships Squad, responsible for the partnerships strategy & commercials of the Live Better partner program. Through Live Better partnerships, we connect category leading health and wellbeing brands to Medibank members, so members can be rewarded for their healthy actions or when shopping with partners that are relevant to their own health and wellbeing journey.I lead a squad of partnership managers and marketing managers that bring the partner and customer propositions to life, from commercial agreements & technical integration to marketing delivery and performance reporting. I also work across Medibank to embed our partnerships across the wider member proposition, from policy acquisition offers through to member health initiatives. Reporting to the Senior Executive of Customer Health and sitting on the Customer Health Leadership Team, I also support the wider Customer Health strategy.

As Senior Partnerships Manager, I managed the partnerships and business development strategy for Live Better’s program of healthy action and shopping partners, rewarding members for their healthy actions or shopping with partners relevant to their own health and wellbeing journey. In this role I was responsible for managing the American Express co-brand relationship with Westpac. I also had responsibility for managing all aspects of the American Express Westpac co-brand product portfolio, from product design to marketing to financial performance. Launching in 2018, I formed part of the product & loyalty design team responsible for building out the product value proposition and migrating thousands of customers from Westpac issued Amex cards over to our American Express issued co-brand. I was then responsible for overall product performance ongoing.When it came time to end the partnership with Westpac in 2021, I lead the contractual negotiations, product design and customer migration strategy to successfully retain a large portion of the portfolio on a newly designed American Express product at better margins.

In this role I lead a team of 2 project specialists responsible for managing complex projects across the consumer products business with budgets up to USD $4m. I delivered a number of initiatives related to new product development, product refreshes, new benefits and technical capabilities. In this role I was responsible for the product and partnership management of the American Express airline co-brand consumer card portfolio across Australia and New Zealand which included Qantas, Virgin Australia and Air New Zealand direct earn products.I project managed the development and implementation of the Air New Zealand American Express Platinum Card, the American Express Velocity Card suite (4 products) and the Qantas American Express Discovery Card by leading workstreams across multiple teams including technologies, finance, operations, marketing and the airline partner.I relationship managed airline partners in accordance with co-brand contracts to drive profitable portfolio growth via marketing access and product development opportunities to increase billed business and acquire new card holders and also provided reporting and analysis on portfolio performance to airline partners and senior management to make and support planning processes and decisions related to product and benefit developmentIn 2012 I was awarded with the American Express Presidents Award, awarded to the top performers globally.

In this role I worked on a range of multi-national clients from across Europe, the Middle East & Africa as an account and program manager of the American Express Corporate Card program.I led projects aimed at expanding the EMEA Corporate Card program utilisation, resulting in profitable charge volume growth and new business across the region through relationship building, employee communications and opportunity identification and analysis.I also undertook client reviews of each local market’s approach to Amex operations and processes to consolidate them in to one central point of contact for EMEA through the use of best practice and process optimisation, as well as general program administration tasks on behalf of clients including issue resolution and card holder escalations.
