Working within the Internal Communications team, this role actively partnered with project teams, leading the development and implementation of communication strategies to support major change programs. This role was responsible for developing internal clients understanding, planning and delivery of successful and effective communication.Key achievements: • Led and developed the internal communications approach for strategic projects including new business lines, donor centre openings and the implementation of new technology / systems • Developed a communications strategy to engage and educate employees on the organisation’s new strategic direction and transformation to a plasma dominant business • Created content and produced a series of videos with executives to educate employees about the three strategic pillars • Advised senior leaders and executives on divisional restructures and realignments, ensuring employees and leaders understood the changes and the impact to their role• Coordinated and developed content for internal celebration and launch events.

Working within the Organisational Development and Capability team, I provided consulting services and advice to enhance the performance of individuals and teams. As Diversity lead, I also provided expertise in the diversity and inclusion space, managing the organisation’s national Diversity program across 80+ sites. Change management and communication played a key role in the development and implementation of solutions to ensure they were successfully operationalised and embedded within the organisation. Key achievements: • Developed the Blood Service’s first Diversity Strategy and Action Plan, including a robust structure for governance and reporting• Increased the Blood Service’s ranking in Pride in Diversity’s (PID) Australian Workplace Equality Index (AWEI) from #20 in 2014 to #13 in 2015 • Developed a co-branded LGBTI e-learning module with Pride in Diversity (PID) which was launched in October 2015 to all PID members • Developed and implemented the Blood Service’s first Flexible Working Arrangements Policy and Gender Affirmation Policy • Blood Service Diversity Strategy recognised as finalist in the ‘Best Workplace Diversity and Inclusion Program’ category at the 2015 Australian HR Awards.

Reporting directly to the Executive Director People, Learning and Culture, I was responsible for the development and implementation of diversity initiatives across Mercy Health’s four divisions (Support Services, Health Services, Aged Care and Home & Community Care).Key achievements: • Successfully secured $40,000 funding from the Department of Health as part of the Value Added Intervention Project• Successfully secured $20,000 funding from the Australian Government as part of the Corporate Champions Program• Mercy Health’s Making Maturity Matter case study featured in Diversity Council Australia’s research report entitled ‘Older women matter: Harnessing the talents of Australia’s female workforce’• Developed and implemented an annual ‘R U OK? Day’ campaign to reduce the stigma associated with mental health illness and build emotional resilience of Mercy Health employees. This initiative was recognised as finalist in the AHRI Diversity Awards in 2012 and 2013, and winner in 2014.
