•Oversee inbound operations for your designated section of the terminal dock•This includes the process of loading, managing forklift traffic, and overseeing proper picking/sortation of palletized freight•Manage up to 30 local LTL drivers and dock personnel to achieve a designated production schedule•Utilizing your independent judgement to build loads based on available labor and freight levels•Ensure proper load of carriers by monitoring the cube and weight of trailers•Provide leadership and accountability to a team of drivers, dock workers and dock hand•Monitor dock production, ensuring facility Key Performance Indicator goals are met and/or exceeded•Maintain a safe work environment compliant with state and federal DOT/OSHA standards•Ensure company operational model complianceSupport a culture of excellence in quality of product to internal and external customers

Coordinate the company's health and safety systems in accordance with established Corporate, Federal, State, and local requirements, including Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), NJ Department of Environmental Protection, and Department of Transportation (DOT).• Provide oversight of commissioning and start-up of new equipment and machinery, providing feedback and guidance from a safety standpoint.• Assist the EHS Manager with the development of new safety and environmental programs.• Maintain accurate monthly metrics on outgoing waste for reporting purposes.• Review and update safety policies and procedures in consultation with the EHS Manager.• Development of safety training modules and conducting training of employees, including management, on safety procedures.• Conduct follow up investigation after an injury and complete the investigation report/s in a timely manner.• Research new services and appliances to facilitate operations.• Conduct market research and compare costs and benefits when evaluating new vendors• Assist with any upcoming events to provide supplies and the safety of all people.• Maintenance of the entire facility.• Taking COVID-19 protocols such as taking temperature daily, providing proper PPE.
