About Steven Kerns

With over seven years of experience in the legal and environmental fields, and over four in the U.S. Army, I am a passionate and skilled Deputy Attorney General at the California Department of Justice. My core competencies include motion practice, oral advocacy, discovery management, policy advising, scientific and legal research, and teaching. My mission is to protect the public interest and the environment by representing state agencies in complex and high-stakes litigation.
