At the University of Washington, I focused on QI and PI at at the institutional level (with the University of Washington) and the national level with pharmacy trade organizations, the Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS) and the Pharmacy Quality Alliance (PQA). I am a recognized pharmacy leader in the quality improvement and value-based care environment and have spoken broadly on the value of comprehensive medication management.Examples of key projects and outcomes:-Provided leadership for medication use appropriateness programs that enhanced opportunities to assess the value of innovative medication use practices from both patient outcomes and resource utilization perspectives. Reduced costs by $500K+ annually by improving drug formulary management.
