I currently teach four twelfth grade Sociology/Psychology classes, both honors and college-prep level, and one AP Psychology class to Seniors. In my class room, I use a wide variety of instruction techniques to keep my students engaged, including group activities, mixed media projects, and lecture. I strive to create a strong and welcoming classroom environment that encourages teacher-student dialogue. Additionally, I serve as moderator for the school yearbook, The Viking, and am the faculty moderator of the Wood Activities Committee. I am a member of the Faculty Coordinating Committee, working with fellow faculty members and the school administration to resolve non-contractual issues that arise in the building. In past years, I had taught ninth grade World History, and served as the moderator of the A Capella club.

In my role as Camp Director, I directly oversee the summer camp operation of a 3000+ camper Scouts BSA Summer Camp. Direct responsibilities include: hiring and training of 100+ staff members in their roles as counselors and support staff; managing of the camp operating budget and oversight of other financial operations; developing engaging and dynamic program for campers and leaders of all ages; and ensuring the compliance of the camp with all local, state, and national standards and regulations. In addition, I am actively involved in the year-round operation of the camp property - 4,200 acres - along side the Camp Ranger. Tasks include light routine maintenance, program planning and execution, and long-range planning for future projects.

In my role as Assistant Camp Director, I oversee the financial and personnel management aspects of the camp operation. Specific tasks include interviewing potential staff members, reviewing employee paperwork, planning & organizing all staff training, preparing daily bank deposits, ordering supplies, and tracking camp expenses. Additionally, I ensure that the camp complies with all BSA, state, and local standards of operation.

As the Program Director, I supervised nearly 100 camp counselors in their roles as skill instructors and support staff. I planned and executed camp-wide program for campers ages 11-17. Additionally, I assisted in the staff hiring process, and was responsible for all staff training.
