Bottom-up and Top-down multi-disciplined cost estimating for Bruce Nuclear Power Plant Asset Management to prolong the life of generating equipment, electrical equipment, controls, substations, transmission lines, mechanical equipment, pumps, compressors, civil, structural, etc. Categorized costs for Materials & Equipment, Construction, BTU Station Support, Engineering & Design, Project Management, Field Engineering, Commissioning, Waste Management, Training, Overheads, Escalation, Risk & Contingency, etc. Work Packages have various levels of project definition for Class 5,4, 3, 2, & 1 estimates.

Responsible for development and implementation for Maintenance Strategies for Eskom Fleet of Coal (13) and Nuclear (1) plants. (Approximately 44,000 MWe)- Authored and implemented Strategic Asset Management Plan which ended Load Shedding at Eskom and allowed for stability of Power Delivery in South Africa.- Load shedding is a localized, Scheduled Black-out and was occurring for 3 years prior to plan implementation.- Improved Quality of Life in South Africa - Reported Directly to Generation ExecutiveDetails:Fleet Director of Engineering and Maintenance Services specifically for Eskom (44,000MWe) which includes implementation of Business Models, application tools and change management that supports Eskom vision as a world leader in safe and efficient power production. Identified root cause for Load Shedding in South Africa and put programs in place to end the daily blackouts. Details: Develop and implemented the Strategic Asset Management models [Standard Nuclear (SNPM) and Thermal Performance (STPM) Models] and Equipment Reliability process including PM Standardization and EAM work flow updates for Eskom's Thermal and Nuclear Sites. This includes the development of Asset Management , Maintenance and Engineering strategies and implementation of an Aging and Obsolescence process and incorporating processes in SAP. Load Shedding Recovery Plan required a PM Standardization process for Eskom to utilize PM Templates as their Maintenance Basis. Developed over 200 PM Templates based on FMEA and managed the implementation thru a team of 30 Maintenance Planners to perform Component Classification, PM Template association and implementation of detailed Work Packages in SAP for 13 Thermal Power Plants.

Supported BV as Energy Consultant, Equipment Reliability Expert and Outage Optimization Facilitator.- Worked at Pedernales Electric Cooperative (T&D) to standardize Master Data during transition from Cascade to SAP. - Streamlined Thermal Plant Outages at Eskom by optimizing SAP Work Packages and Supply Chain controls- Developed Outage KPI's as Outage Readiness Indicators- Instituted Standard Thermal Performance Model to standardize Equipment Reliability, Work Management (On-Line and Outage), Configuration Management and Materials and Services- Developed generation risk models and application tools to optimize Work and Outage Readiness for meeting Milestones

Project Manager for Passport Work Package Development to support Nuclear Work Management and Equipment Reliability improvement initiatives.- Developed 34,000 Work Packages in Passport using approximately 60 Maintenance Planners to input Key Work Order Information.- Cost savings was projected at over $28MM- Work Packages required little to no revisions by station planners prior to scheduling..DetailsThese Model Work Orders established a new standards at Bruce for time and condition based maintenance and allowed for auto generation of Work Order Occurrences in a “Ready” status. Total value of the project was $28MM and included processing of Model Clearance Orders, Radiation Exposure Permits Master Equipment List / Material changes and resolution of PM Change Requests as part of the project . Used Meridium as application tool to support Historical evaluations while developing Work Packages in Passport . Responsible for the development and implementation of Equipment Reliability programs including development of PM Templates (50+) and to incorporate into the Model Work Orders and the equipment Life Cycle Management Plans for all 8 units (including Restart units)

Responsible for successful (on-time and under budget) implementation of Maximo (v6.3) for Constellation Nuclear including the facilitation of Engineering, Maintenance and Work Management processes into Maximo for the Constellation Work Management and Supply Chain functional areas. - Supported Accenture by following their HPUM model (plan, analysis, design, and implementation) and drove Constellation business processes to replace their 3 Legacy Computerized Maintenance Management Systems at Calvert , Ginna and Nine Mile Point with Maximo. - I was the Business area Lead for implementation of a standard Work Management Processes at Constellation which aligned with Nuclear Industry Best Practices. - This included development of Business rules to utilize TIBCO (information Bus) interface to 3rd party applications for Equipment Reliability, Radiation Protection, Correction Action Process and Configuration Mgt . - The existing Legacy Maintenance data needed to be migrated and tested in Maximo. I supported the business process from requirements to "go live" including Change Management support .

Responsible for all Equipment Reliability improvement processes for (2) 1,250 Mwe, Westinghouse Pressurized Water Reactors and one 1,150 Mwe GE Boiling Water Reactor. Performed Single Point Vulnerability / Scram Derate process as part of Equipment Criticality Classification. Developed Equipment Reliability project plan as strategy to align with Industry Best Practices as defined in the Standard Nuclear Performance Model. Developed innovative methodology using 3rd party software (IKS and MS Access) to close gaps in SAP (R/3) which allowed process integration with INPO AP Documents (AP-913, AP-928, AP-908 and AP- 929).
