With over 20 years of experience in agile software development in both large and small organisations.Starting out in a small in-house development team for a company with 200 staff I was exposed to and became adept at many aspects of software engineering from requirements gathering, business analysis, architecture, implementation, code review, testing, vendor management, documentation, deployment, and maintainance. I took ownership of many varied sucessful projects seeing them through from beginning to end while playing many roles.These skills were built up over time however I specialise in Java, API design, and BPM implementations.Most recently I have worked as a Senior Technical Consultant at Bravura Solutions, a large international company with 14,000 staff. There I had the opportunity to collaborate with many varied teams and people, quickly becoming an expert in the BPM implementation software. Going beyond my responsibilities and using deeper analysis of the requirements I saw the need for new features within the BPM engine. Working with stakeholders, architects and programmers I saw these new features implemented and provide real benefit to what would have otherwise been an inefficient process.Being passionate about designing, developing, and integrating complex enterprise systems that deliver value to clients and stakeholders is important to me.Being able to rely on a pool of diverse projects and roles has given me the confidence to be able to learn new software and quickly become a technical expert in that field.Key responsibilities have included:• Translate functional and non-functional business requirements into a technical solution• Implement optimized business processes using BPM methodologies• Define the service design architecture in a SOA environment• Identify risks and issues in deploying technical solutions and develop appropriate mitigating actions to reduce impact on client's business• Producing documentation for both a technical and non-technical audienceHighlights and achievements:• Automated all outgoing payments via a BPM solution integrated with Government online services for 250,000 members• Completed stalled 'Pension Join' BPM workflow for Super fund with one million plus members• Established RedHat OpenShift container platform and migrated j2ee applications• Implemented or maintained over 50 Mule API apps, many utilizing Java extensions
