Designed software architecture and led five person development team for Hitachi Device Manager, a Java-based multithreaded application to provide a common GUI/CLI/API for all Hitachi storage products. Designed the API and CLI, wrote user and API manuals, and trained support personnel.Development lead for internal Total Cost of Ownership tool in C++ to help internal users estimate costs for Hitachi storage products. Led team of two developers.Designed and developed internal documentation management product in C++ to organize and view all Hitachi user manuals under a single GUI. Developed Adobe Acrobat plugin.

Led the Technical Steering Group (TSG) composed of engineers from approximately 20 storage companies in the development of SMI-S.Led the SMI-S Conformance Committee, overseeing the development of the conformance test, which validates adherence to the specification.One of the main authors of the SMI-S, having been Involved with the development of the specification for every version, starting before version 1.0.

Contributing author and contributor for the development of the Extensible Access Method (XAM) specification. XAM was designed to be a standard API for fixed content aware storage devices that would allow the replacement of proprietary interfaces.

Designed and developed multi-threaded software in Visual C++ that controlled Quantum Design's real-time laboratory instrumentation.
