Steven is a Principal Water Resources Engineer and team leader of GHD’s Victorian surface water resources team. Steven has 17 years’ experience in surface water hydrology, hydraulics, irrigation, drainage and water resources modelling. Water resource planning - Steven has worked closely with water corporations and Government departments in recent years providing technical and strategic advice on long and short term water resource planning projects.Hydrological analysis and water resource modelling - Steven has been involved in a range of hydrology studies related to water resources planning, environmental water management and irrigation modernisation. Steven has extensive technical experience in relation to the application of numerical modelling of hydrological processes. This experience includes a high level of competency applying models such as REALM, STEDI, PRIDE, SIMHYD, MUSIC.Environmental hydrology - In recent years, Steven has been involved in a range of projects related to the protection and restoration of flow regimes in river systems and adjacent floodplains. Steven has lead multi-disciplinary teams to undertake conceptual design investigations for environmental works and measures. Irrigation modernisation planning - Steven's career commenced at Goulburn Murray Water (Victoria) in a design role where he developed a good understanding of the design and operation of large irrigation water delivery systems and structures. In recent years, Steven has been involved in irrigation modernisation planning with a focus on improving system efficiency through the development of water savings initiatives and works.
