My Filanc career began in July of 2023 as a Project Engineer. While the change of scenery leaves a lot of development and challenges ahead, the culture has been easy to adopt. Working in the water treatment world is an introduction to many people from a multitude of trades who do whatever it takes to ensure the job gets done and standards never take a back seat. I worked at Cox for seventeen years. I spent seven years in the field as an expert broadband installer and service technician. My leadership journey at Cox in 2013 and continues to this day. I have led highly effective, award-winning teams in local and regional competition. My leadership pillars are transparency, empowerment, enablement and accountability. I have a passion for technology and developing others into competent and confident contributors to the business. Prior to my Cox career, I started off in the U.S. Marine Corps out of high school. I worked in transportation from driver to operations manager. At my end of service I had been promoted to E5 and was accountable for 24 Marines and over 200 vehicles in my fleet. Upon exiting the Marine Corps, I had odd jobs working in hardwood flooring, armored courier and even worked on a production line to pay the bills. I was attending school in the evenings and raising two daughters.
