Began as a direct hire in May 2023 for NIWC Pacific.Exhibited exceptional performance within just my first 18 months in the role - in July 2024 I was awarded the Navy Civilian Service Achievement Medal, the 5th highest honor a civilian employee can receive, for my leadership and project contribution. I was also appointed developer lead for a new feature, and promoted up to an ND-03 Scientist.Supported a Maritime Domain Awareness project, contributing over 100 tickets worth of code, advancing a total of 19 unique features (5 of which were new). In this role, in addition to expanding my Frontend capabilities to support AngularJS and Angular, I also became fluent in Backend development (JavaScript and Express) and Database development (MySQL), having submitted code for both that made it to a production release.

Served as the summer 2021 intern for RAM Laboratories.Gained a wide breadth of knowledge, contributing in part to 5 unique projects that RAM was responsible for. First time getting industry experience with machine learning, and creating tools to help developers. Single-handedly developed a web based D3 visualization tool to present the raw data and findings of the company’s main machine learning contract. Learned to solve hard problems through interdisciplinary innovation and invention.

Began as a summer intern in June 2020, hired for part time work late September 2020, left the position in April 2021.Frontend developer, responsible for multiple tasks on the Geospatial Web Development team. Heavy focus on updating plain Javascript/Typescript, and React components to React functional components that interacted with an OpenLayers map. Became very familiar with the modern Web Development environment, including React, Webpack, and Node JS.

Port Hueneme

Served as the summer 2019 intern for the L57 division in NavSea.I was employed for 10 weeks as an NREIP intern for the Web Development team at the Port Hueneme naval base. In my time as an intern, I because proficient in website development tools, namely HTML, CSS, JavaScript and PHP. I also became familiar with the Atlassian suite, including wiki development tool Confluence, and product management application JIRA. I developed a familiarity with the RESTFUL API and product-based development with AGILE SCRUM.I oversaw many projects in my time on base. Specifically, restructuring the way spreadsheets were implemented onto government sites, debugging issues found by other developers and integrating the permanent saving of custom data with RESTFUL tables.
