About Steven Stringham
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: more than 20 years of research on wildlife ecology and behavior, several years natural resource management, and 10 years of teaching, mostly college courses.Early in my career, I began giving field tours in which I provided clients with an opportunity to see bears and other wildlife, while I informed them about the ecology and behavior of the animals. That was the foundation of my business WILDWATCH -- which soon expanded into research and consulting with businesses, government agencies, Native American tribal governments and organizations, as well as other NGOs. For example, I served as lead consultant on assessments of environmental impacts from ski area expansion, construction of a natural gas pipeline, agricultural pollution, industrial pollution, and trophy hunting, as well as effects of delisting Threatened/Endangered Species. I have served as an expert witness in both State and Federal hearings and have testified before 3 Congressional subcommittees.
