Developing the software for the Washington State Paid Family and Medical Leave portal as well as other Washington State Employment Security Department related software.

* Modified the marketplace's Java and Spring backend system to add features such as creating new endpoints to collect data about newly registered Zoom apps.* Implemented app submission search and filtering improvements to Zoom App Marketplace administrator dashboards with React and Redux which improved administrators ability to review Zoom app submissions.* Integrated a UI testing library, that used Python and Selenium, into the team's software development process that improved front end fault detection.* Created technical designs and documentation to be used for managerial review, task creation, and task delegation.

* Worked on over 13 different contract projects with many different stacks including components such as Java with Spring, C# with .NET, Python with django, React, Angular, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MSSQL, and many others to deliver research and data science software and services to clients.* Created an extract, transform, load (ETL) pipeline using web scraping to collect millions of journal article texts and metadata from a nursing research website (with permission). The data was inserted into a data warehouse for further use by data scientists in analyses that helped the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid services create Clinical Quality Measures (CQMs).* Mentored several junior developers through project onboarding, general project and software development, best practices, and professional development.* Volunteered to be a part of Battelle's Critical Care Decontamination System (CCDS) program, in a non-software development capacity during the first couple of months of the COVID-19 pandemic, to help mass decontaminate thousands of N95 masks. After a month and a half, started managing and led one of the sites of 14 technicians for the rest of my time with that operation in which I compiled reports to the operations team, communicated with clients and assisting organizations, managed personnel, and handled any other incidents that arose.

* Worked on an internal system written in PHP that managed critical client housing and clinical information for use by clinicians and housing staff to help people in Seattle currently experiencing homelessness.* Maintained, refactored, and replaced components of the legacy PHP system with simpler and faster components that had fewer defects.* Contributed to a several year long effort to certify the main system as an Electronic Health Record (EHR) to improve exchanging client health information with other agencies.* Communicated and worked directly with users and stakeholders to understand their requirements and developed new features in a way that would be most useful and usable for them.

* Performed manual smoke, exploratory, and regression testing on custom built SharePoint applications to significantly reduce faults.* Facilitated user acceptance testing of deliverables with clients, like Corning, to validate that the solution fulfilled their needs.* Conducted testing and identified differences between the applications on different browsers, operating systems, and devices which identified many errors that weren't caught during initial development.* Designed test plans and suites used in manual integration and regression tests for different functional areas of the custom applications to ensure comprehensive test coverage and prevent future bugs.
