Advised the Director on alignment of the DoD Western Hemisphere Regional Center program activities with national and regional policy guidance and objectives. Ensured all program activities promoted greater understanding of U.S. foreign policy among regional defense and security professionals. Enabled the advancement of the community of defense and security professionals in the Americas. Oversaw execution of a comprehensive outreach plan incorporating a diverse range of audiences including non-government organizations and senior leaders in defense and security in the Americas.

Us Embassy Quito, Ecuador

Advised and supported U.S Ambassador and Embassy Country Team on defense and political-military issues. Ascertained, composed, and reported information about military and political-military conditions and developments to address DoD and inter-agency requirements. Responsible for diplomatic representation of the Chief of Staff of the Army to the Ecuadorian Army and to third nation military attaches. Oversaw Army security cooperation activities in absence of Security Cooperation Office.

Inter-American Defense College

Advised the Director on matters related to a master’s-level Academic Program Plan focusing on strategic defense and security issues in the Western Hemisphere. Ensured that the academic program supported a primary goal of the key stakeholder, the military institution of an International Organization, of promoting cooperation in defense and hemispheric security. Supervised teaching faculty including permanent civilian academics possessing terminal degrees and senior military officers with advanced civil schooling. Represented the Director to external agencies.

Bagram Air Base, Afghanistan

Managed and controlled arrival, assignment and integration procedures for all Defense Intelligence Agency personnel deploying to participate in combat operations in Afghanistan. Ensured operational support to all organizational personnel assigned to geographically dispersed intelligence platforms as well as those assigned to provide direct intelligence support to senior operational commands. Planned, coordinated, conducted, and monitored in-country training for deployed DIA personnel. Coordinated with external organizations to ensure pre-deployment training complied with Theater requirements. Monitored and reported all movement of combatant threat and DIA personnel to ensure senior leaders both in Theater and the rear maintained situational awareness of critical events impacting DIA deployed personnel, equipment, and facilities.

The Pentagon

Managed a division of 22 all-source political-military analysts providing strategic intelligence support to the Deputy Director for Current Analysis in the Joint Staff Directorate of Intelligence. Oversaw production of daily intelligence briefings and strategic assessments for the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the Secretary of Defense; responsibility extended to four distinct major geographic regions comprising over 140 countries within the space of five different unified commands. Supervised a production process to ensure extensive coordination and collaboration with the interagency including the Joint Staff, unified commands, and national intelligence agencies for all finished products. Developed and executed contingency support plans to ensure around-the-clock operations supporting Intelligence Directorate Crisis Management Elements.

The Pentagon
