Approaching 60, married to WI President Erica for 30+ years, with our 1st grandson almost two. This was supposed to be year-2 of 5 reducing 10-hours a week from the 70 I've worked many years to 20 that I hope to continue the rest of my life. But the aerospace manufacturing sector in Mexico in 2024 presents a unique opportunity. WI's primary customer base in the US, it's currently the world's 5th largest and projected to grow 20% a-year each of the next 5, on top of its automotive POP industry that's one of the world's largest and also a great candidate for our WI-RIX DI rinse recycling systems.So Water Innovations partnered in 2024 with Crukel Water & Chemicals as WIRIXMX S.A. de C.V. based in Queretaro, matching WI expertise in metal-finishing and POP DI rinse recycling with Crukel's outstanding team that currently supplies membrane products & services throughout the Bajio & beyond.I'm glad to be based in the City of Queretaro that's capital of the State of the same name that I consider “Mexico’s California” with its focus on sustainable economic growth. I want to build on what WI has done in the US for 20 years and help mitigate its water scarcity that threatens to constrain its growth into North America's aerospace & automotive powerhouse. I'll shuttle back & forth every couple weeks, handing WI's day-to-day operations off to our capable team. and look forward to my trips & getting to enjoy my part-time home in Juriquilla. Guess my plan to write a book on industrial water recycling interspersed with my lifetime of water photos will have to wait along with semi-retirement.
