• Provided technical direction for the UK’s largest parenting website, which serves over 100 million pages per month to more than 8 million unique visitors.• Full-stack developer, using Java core / J2EE, Apache Velocity, memcached, MySQL, Ruby, Rails, HTML / JavaScript / CSS, jQuery, and Unix/Linux scripting. Also managed server configuration (apache, tomcat cluster, resin, jboss) and build process (git, ant, maven, rake.)• Supported and enhanced iOS and Android apps, and associated server-side java web service XML / json APIs.• Mentored junior developers.

• Directed IT for the Finance division, managing teams in New York and Sao Paulo. • Managed developers supporting general and sub-ledger processes, and bank profit and loss reporting, for Dresdner’s U.S. and Latin American divisions.• Held IT responsibility for the bank’s anti-money-laundering and know-your-client systems, and performed IT lead role for the integration of the Treasury divisions of Commerzbank and Dresdner Bank New York branches following the Commerzbank acquisition of Dresdner.

• Head developer for Agency Securities Lending business, first in Europe, later globally.• Led a team of developers using J2EE and associated technologies including Oracle, IBM MQ JMS, Weblogic, JBoss, unix scripting etc. • Led development of front-to-back office client reporting and trade processing systems - functions included position keeping, inventory management, cash management and risk monitoring. The system also carried out international settlement through SWIFT and interfaces to Euroclear and other CSDs. Traded products included securities loans, repo, commercial paper, deposits, fixed income, and derivatives.

• Created a client reporting system for a major US investment bank.• Developed an online restaurant booking system for an Internet start-up.• Enhanced a fixed-income / repo order-matching system for an Internet start-up.• Developed using tools including Oracle, Sybase, J2EE, C/C++ and Unix.

• Directed the IT team developing and producing the IFR Electronic suite of products.• Led migration of web development from legacy proprietary platform to standard web development tools / J2EE.• Managed a team of eight development and production staff.• Led year 2000 mitigation effort.

• Led the development of client reporting, trade capture and processing systems supporting Deutsche’s securities lending business in Europe.• Managed migration of business in Frankfurt from legacy platform to the newly developed system.
