C++/Qt/QML trainer & Software architect, responsible for the QAWeb 2.0 project. QAWeb is an asset-management / QA software application used by numerous medical Barco devices. After a successful implementation for Barco Germany, they extended my contract for a new opportunity in Barco Belgium. I made the architecture of the new QAWeb 2.0 platform. 1.0 was written in java, and the objective of 2.0 was to completely move into C++/Qt environment. In the first months, i trained the people in C++/Qt/Qml, as they where Experienced Java developers, but didn’t have the needed C++ skills. During this time a also setup a new Continuous Integration ( CI ) System for this project. The CI was build around Gerrit (Open Source code review) and Jenkins.

With a freelance team of 4 people we build a backend storage system (Zend Framework - PHP) for digital newspapers. Different publishers deliver their content (PDF) to the backend API (SOAP WebService), which then gets rendered into jpegs (ImageMagick) of different resolutions, indexed (Apache Solr), and stored into data storage (MySQL, HBase). This data is then accessible via a different API (SOAP), for mobile, desktop & web applications where customers can by subscriptions or search keywords that can appear anywhere in the content.Example: A company can hereby be notified automatically if their company name appears somewhere in published newspapers, etc..

Sales is international constructed trough dealer and reseller channels.Within this position I developed a C++/Qt oriented digital signage application. The application uses Graphics, XML, RSS, Video Streaming, Data storage (MySQL, SqLite). It consists of 2 main applications; A content designer, and a remote content player. For the development I collaborated with a Swedish company called KDAB, they are C++/Qt experts.
