At State Street Corporation, I was a member of the GTP manual team and I processed trades internationally. I was responsible for researching trade information and precisely booking trades using computer applications. This position required me to develop strong attention to detail and knowledge of many different functions. I have learned to process trades accurately as well as how to communicate with customers in a polite and efficient manner to ensure that strong customer relations are maintained.

Us

During the summer of 2016, I worked as a lot associate at Home Depot. My duties included keeping the lot organized and accessible for customers as well as helping customers load and unload their vehicles. Throughout my shift, I would get phone calls sending me to different departments so I had to be adaptable and learn new things quickly. I had a lot of one on one customer interaction and was often praised on my ability to ensure the customer has a pleasant experience. While on paper Home Depot is not the most glamorous position, the skills I learned and mastered there will be valuable as I move forward in my career.

I started off with as few responsibilities as possible, and quickly worked my way up and gained more trust from my managers and fellow staff members. The fast paced environment of the restaurant taught me how to juggle many things at once and work on several tasks at the same time. While I was working as a food runner, I had to organize all of the tickets and communicate with both the kitchen and serving staff to ensure that all customers received their food in an efficient manner. This position really helped me develop my communication, leadership, and customer service skills.
