Arcon is a startup provides a fully customizable SaaS on employee scheduling for Enterprises. I created and drive the team development and operation process. Own the entire rollout for the company largest customer Equinox and the ongoing operation.

• A SaaS learning system that aims to become the “WordPress” of eLearning. Launched using AWS in 2013. Our customers include El Pollo Loco, which uses our platform to deliver training to their 15,000 employees. Almooc.
• Full P&L responsibility on our product line which includes subscription, service and revenue sharing.
• Develop product roadmap and set feature priorities. Act as the product owner/customer advocate on our scrum development team.
• Define metrics for success including traffic, signup, conversion and cost of customer acquisition.
• Develop business model and the go-to-market strategy. Pitch our business plan to investors and conduct business reviews on a regular basis. EDUonGo has raised over $700k in funding as of today.
• Work directly with customers in both pre-sales strategy as well as post-sales deployment plan.

• Bsquare provides products and services to help enterprises build connected devices and IoT solutions.
• Built the Bsquare Applications service from a small offering to a major pillar with annual revenue of over 8 million dollars. Expanded the applications team from 12 to 60+ engineers.
• Defined the B2B application service strategy and worked closely with sales and marketing to apply the strategy and win major customers including Coke, Ford, Amazon and T-Mobile.
• Worked directly with major customers on execution plans. This included building an integration plan on the Ford Sync project which has more than 10 components provided by different vendors. Acted as the software.
• Implement the scrum development process across the global development team including US, China and India. Provided scrum certification training to key members on the team.
• Recruited some top engineers to join Bsquare and provided mentorship on their career paths. Defined clear goals on their performance reviews to help achieve their goals.

• Joined the Windows Live OneCare (now Microsoft Security Essentials) team when it was in the Alpha stage with a few thousand users. Designed and program-managed all the security features to a successful product launch.
• Designed all the key security features (including Anti-Virus, Firewall and Security Update). Responsible for feature details, user experience, and high-level software architecture.
• Managed all aspects of the features to ensure they were developed on schedule. These included planning, design, implementation, and testing.
• Worked closely with marketing to perform competitive analysis, develop feature level strategy and a product plan to help the product win in the market place.
• Collaborated and managed dependency with other teams at Microsoft.
• Defined the budget and hired an offshore team to implement and operate the managed Firewall feature.

• PortalPlayer was a startup in 1999 focus on providing OEMs with a complete hardware and software solution for building digital music devices. Major products are portable MP3 players including the popular Apple iPod..
• Managed a global team of 10 engineers to develop applications on various MP3 devices from companies like Apple, Samsung, Philips and B&O.
• Designed and implemented application framework (SDK) in C/C++ with CodeWarrior on ARM7 platform.
• Provided technical support directly to customers including training and project management.
• Worked directly with company executives to define features and schedules.
• Reviewed specifications from customers and provide workload estimates.
