Lead developer for AnySite Online, the easiest-to-use web site for Advanced Demographic Reports and Presentation Quality Maps. This included bug fixes and implementing various changes and enhancements. AnySite Online is a Java server based thin-client web application featuring Servlets, Applets and Java Native Interface calls, JDBC, JSP, ASP, XML, HTML and JavaScript. Coded and designed a Point Upload add-on web application for Online using Java, JNI Servlets, JDBC, JSP, ASP, HTML and Java Script.Completed developed of a Java Swing desktop application to be used for the administration of Online. This removed the need for Online’s support personnel from having to manually manipulate the database.Developed an RTF Logo search and replace algorithm used to search for and replace RTF image text header tags, using C++. This allowed for a single generic report to be reused for many clients. This saved the company money and hours of manpower.Ported Online’s database from MS Access to MS SQL Server. This included handling the data-mapping from the old schema to a completely revised new schema. This was accomplished by using MS Data Transformation Services and by writing support programs using Visual Basic.Researched the development of adding E-Commerce to AnySite Online. To allow non-subscribing users to run reports on a pay per report basis. Research included Internet Information Services use of SSL and various credit card verification services.Re-built the existing installation program for AnySite Analyzer using the Wise installation system. This included a full installation and upgrade installation. A full network installation and upgrade network installation, as well as client and server installations, all built into one executable. Supported platforms: Windows 98, ME, 2000 and XP.

Lead developer for a 20-user (Customer Relationship Management) Call Center application written in C, C++ and VBA that Avery Dennison used for Customer Support. Created two new environments for the Call Center application, development and training installations that were used for training and development purposes.Designed and coded a stand-alone desktop program used for data migration that retrieved records from an MS-Access database and performed data validation prior to writing the records out to a formatted file using Visual Basic. Completed documentation of all forms and code for the Call Center application. Over 200 forms and over 1100 pages of documentation, included system diagrams.

Project manager and sole developer for the Child Abuse Tracking System (CATS), a Visual Basic desktop application that the LAPD is currently using from allegation to conviction, on all child abuse cases.Worked on three person team to developed ETrak’s first web based application, The Law Enforcement Tow System (LETS) v3.0. The application featured Servlets, Java Server Pages, Java Messaging Systems, Applets, JDBC, Java Beans, JRUN, HTML and Java Script.Provided needs assessment, enhancements, bug fixes and maintenance programming, including building setup programs and performed on site installation for CATS.ETrak received multiple letters from the LAPD praising my work with CATS.Ported LETS v 2.5, a Java Swing application, from Sybase Adaptive Server database Anywhere to Microsoft SQL Server 7.0. Rebuilt the LETS search functionality to improve usability and search outcomes.Created and managed Visual SourceSafe code repository for ETrak.Built installation programs for the Towing Management System using Install Shield 6.2. Handled maintenance programming on TMS, which included bug fixes and implementing various changes and enhancements. Put out fires on four existing ETrak Visual Basic applications, including building setups for the programs. Rebuilt 23 Seagate Crystal Reports from version 6.0 to 7.0. Made two trips to Seattle, Washington, doing needs assessment and product support for ETrak’s Law Enforcement Tow System version 2.5.

Worked as a Visual Basic developer on creation of a large scale Customer Relationship Management System (CRMS) encompassing such customer-oriented functions such as Marketing, Branch Operations, Product Management, and Profitability Assessment. Lead developer on team customizing online CRMS for product deployment, both here in the US and internationally. This required several trips to Wellington, New Zealand, where I had extensive, direct interaction with partners and customers to support stress, usability and functionality testing. While working in the R&D department, I was learning Java while porting client-server Visual Basic applications to server-based, ultra-thin-client Java applications. Developed standalone Campaign Review application that complemented our Marketing Analysis application and our Customer Profitability application.Co-designed ODBC Paging ActiveX DLL that allowed paging of 100 records at a time, forwards and backwards through a large record set, this DLL was implemented into all of our applications.
