I was responsible for helping customers, maintaining stock levels on the sales floor, and presentation of goods.

As part of my contract to play for the club, I was also responsible for teaching and working with the youth teams for the Savigny Lions. As a non-French speaker, this was difficult at first. However after spending time with the kids, I learned to figure out ways to communicate and teach.

Presented with an opportunity to play professional baseball for the Savigny Lions, I jumped at the chance to move abroad and try something new. With only a basic understanding of the language, this was a huge leap of faith and an experience that I am very proud of. I met a lot of great people on this particular journey and I'm proud to say that I still am in contact with several of them.

After a few months of primarily working on the sales floor, a change in management saw me promoted to assistant to the manager of my department. In addition to working on the sales floor, I managed stock levels, presentation of goods, and inter-store product transfers.
