8 weeks performed in an outpatient orthopedic treating primarily patients diagnosed with lower back pain and TMD. I learned more advanced orthopedic evaluation and treatment techniques, as well as participated in orthopedic rounds with Physicians and fellow Physical therapists. The second 8 weeks was performed treating patients diagnosed with neurological dysfunctions (MS, PD, GBS, and patients who have had yet to have a clear diagnosis) and vestibular dysfunctions. I learned more advanced neurological evaluation and neurological treatment techniques for specific diagnoses, as well as how to perform vestibular evaluations and treatments. I attended vestibular rounds with Physicians and fellow physical therapists, as well as shadowed Audiologists as they performed balance functional tests.

An Outpatient Physical Therapy Clinic with a predominate patient population of Geriatrics and Orthopedics. I performed more thorough orthopedic evaluations, and learned new skills such as instrument assisted soft tissue massage and kinesiotaping. I began treating a small population of vestibular patients in this setting as well.

Acute Rehabilitation Facility with a diverse patient population including TBI, CVA, Amputees, B/L knee replacements, Multiple Sclerosis, Cardiac trauma, Parkinson's Disease, Spinal Cord Injury, Hip Fractures, and Hip Replacements. A diverse variety of evaluation techniques and treatment methods were utilized to develop an effective plan of care for each individual patient. Interdisciplinary rounds were performed weekly with Physicians, Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists, Case Managers, and Physical Therapists to ensure proper coordination of care.
