After 4 decades as art director and creative director for corporations and advertising agencies, and winning more than 100 national and international awards, I have fully embraced fine art painting. I have been blessed to paint internationally in Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, India, South Africa, Canada and the Caribbean. And my work is now in demand by corporations (McDonald’s, The Coca Cola Company, REI COOP, etc), major universities, art collectors, athletes and private individuals across the globe.I consider myself a contemporary, narrative artist. As American filmmaker, George Lucas said, “Narrative is one of the oldest and most important impulses in art. It is also the most popular form of art. Tracing the arc of narrative art reveals how culture is created, reinforced, and then compelled to evolve.”I was selected to be a 2019 Fellow and a 2020 Executive Fellow in the Clark Hulings Foundation’s Art-Business Accelerator Program. I am the recipient of the United States Sport Academy’s (USSA) prestigious International Sports Artist of the Year award. And I was awarded the American Sport Art Museum and Archives’ (ASAMA) “Zhenliang He Cultural Medallion”.I have been invited to the 2020 (now 2021) Summer Olympics in Tokyo to stage ‘live’ painting events at multiple venues. Also, concurrent with the Summer Games, I will have a solo exhibition of his narrative, Olympic-themed paintings at the prestigious Tokyo American Club.
