He leads projects for majorcorporations, educational institutions and government agencies to define planning modelsthat tie organizational mission, population forecasting, work process improvement, workplacerequirements, capital and occupancy cost into comprehensive facilities plans.Steve has published more than 23 articles and research reports and co-authored five books,including the 5th edition of Problem Seeking: An Architectural Programming Primer, usedby colleges and universities as the basic text on programming. He is a frequent lecturer andan established teacher and has led over 80 training workshops and lectures at professionalmeetings and educational campuses. Steve has shared new workplace ideas and innovationsin analysis and all aspects of research as applied in the design and facilities industry withclients, students and other professionals. He is the leading expert on the Problem Seeking®process, having taught more than 40 external workshops and over 30 workshops within HOK.He held the William Peña Visiting Professorship at Texas A&M University.
