Responsible for all technology in support of the business process outsourcing/call center services and supply chain company. This included refining and implementing the global call center standards and architecture. Created an architecture roadmap and implemented a new Business Intelligence infrastructure for operational and financial reporting that provided benefits to clients and internal organizations. Implemented a variety of changes that reduced operating expenses associated with maintenance contracts, license fees, outsourcing contracts and telecommunications contracts. Implemented SAP for financial controls and reporting, asset inventory, operational dashboards, human capital managemet and other functions to add value and reduce expenses across the enterprise.

As a business unit CIO, responsible for all technologies in support of the Stored Value Group (products included Traveler's Checks, prepaid gift cards, other stored value card products) and utilizing Smart Card Technology for Global Electronic Payment/Reward opportunities. In addition, Steve had responsiblity for the IT unit in support of the Global Establishment Services Groups which supported the US and International Merchant Payable Systems. At the peak, these responsibilities encompassed more than 500 staff and an annual budget of more than $100 million.

Responsible for the organization that provided information products and delivery systems to be used by member banks on a global basis. Developed long term information business strategies to strengthen Visa's brand and competitive position by providing valued added information products and services for the members of the association, both in the US and in all international regions. This position dealt with credit, debit and prepaid product strategies as well as global point of sale telecommunictions strategies.

Responsible for ROLM's international sales, marketing and support for ROLM digital PBX and telephone product lines through a core team of employees and an international distribution network. This organization provided comprehensive business services for ROLMs International distributors and customers which included product pricing, installation support, systems training, technical systems engineering support, ordering and export administration, product planning and software production. As a component of this role, Steve was on the Board of Directors of ROLM Telecomunicaciones; a privately held company in Mexico City. At this point in Rolm's history, Steve turned the International Business Division into the only profitable group of ROLM. He had full P & L responsiblility for the entire ROI for all International business. This was at the point in ROLMs history where IBM had purchased ROLM and then subsequently sold ROLM to Siemens.

Responsible for the world-wide telecommunications engineering organization.

Joined IBM as progarmmer and advanced through a variety of management positions culminating as a Program Director in the former General Product Division which subsequently became the Storage Subsystems Divison of IBM.
