Steven is a partner and Chair of the Intellectual Property Department at Nutter McClennen & Fish LLP. He has successfully prepared and prosecuted hundreds of patent applications across an extensive range of technologies, including: electrical systems, high performance computing, computer hardware and software, analog and digital circuit design, microelectromechanical systems (MEMS), medical products and instrumentation, power supplies, graphics processors and accelerators, computer networking, Internet utilization and enhancement devices, injection molding and manufacturing, data encryption, electric motors, network switching devices, and green energy (e.g., solar power).Steven also is an angel investor and active participant in the angel investor community. He hears dozens of presentations from early stage entrepreneurs each year, and regularly conducts extensive due diligence on potential target companies, analyzing both their core businesses and their intellectual property issues. He has delivered numerous lectures on intellectual property and its impact on business at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Boston University, Boston College, and Northeastern University.
