Broken Base was founded by myself and fellow writer William Holden. Though the site originally focused on written work, it soon expanded and began focusing on video production.Currently, all aspects of the site are handled by myself: video production, social media, website maintenance and graphic design. It's a lot to handle, but given all that I've learned over the past five years, it's definitely been worth it.

As a freelance writer, my job was to pitch, research and publish lists on a variety of different entertainment topics. If it was a part of pop culture, it was fair game - I published pieces on everything from blockbuster movies to comic books to video games.

Greater New York City Area

As one of the Tech Times' entertainment reporters, my responsibilities included daily news coverage, feature writing, live event coverage, product reviews, interviews, copy editing, art asset creation and multimedia editing.During my time at the Times, my articles pulled in millions upon millions of views (a record for the site at the time), and my video work pulled in tens of thousands of extra views on top of that.

During my time at university, I also began working as a freelance gaming reporter for Examiner.com. Over time, my work expanded from daily news stories to opinion pieces to live event coverage at press-only conventions such as E3 (the Electronic Entertainment Expo).
