I work with clients on real estate and general business transactions. My clients range from real estate companies, REITs and large banks and other financial institutions, to distribution and restaurant companies. I also advise my clients on long-range strategic planning and matters involving their financial structures and operating policies. Earlier in my career, I spent six years as the in-house general counsel for a large real estate company. I was responsible for the company’s legal needs and long-term growth and management strategies. My dual role gave me a significant understanding of how to balance the ramifications of a legal decision with other aspects of business operations. This experience is the basis for the legal and business advice I offer my clients today.I have held numerous leadership positions at Much Shelist, including chair of the firm’s real estate practice group. I have also overseen the firm’s marketing function since 2008, a period during which Much Shelist was named to the National Law Journal’s annual “Midsize Hot List” - an honor we received three times. I am proud the Hot List chose Much Shelist as one of just 20 U.S. firms. The editors recognized our ability to serve clients of all sizes, give back to the community and create a positive, vibrant workplace.Much Shelist serves clients in diverse areas including real estate, business, finance, intellectual property, litigation, wealth transfer, health care and employment law. A firm of approximately 90 attorneys, we share a commitment to personal service, efficiency, creativity and value more typical of a smaller firm, yet we offer the sophistication and technology-driven resources that clients expect from the largest law firms.
