Carried out the duties of a Reactor Panel Operator at sea, watchkeeping on the Reactor Panel (PWR1). Carried out the duties of a Shutdown Supervisor in harbour as the most experienced watchkeeper in the SDS union. Tutoring and mentoring less experienced personnel in the safe operation and control of a shutdown nuclear plant and associated systems. Undertake Damage Control activities at sea and in harbour as directed by the Watch and Station Bill, tasked with the safe coordination of a firefighting team. Head of the Primary Electrical Section, managing a team of senior engineering technicians in challenging maintenance tasks. Responsible for the upkeep of Primary Control and Instrumentation Systems. Specialist in calibration of Primary and Secondary D.P, Pressure and Temperature Cells, as well as deep technical expertise on PWR1 Control Rod Drive Mechanisms. Utilised Maintenance Managements System (UMMS) for the management of maintenance and defects.

Undertook the responsibility of producing, reviewing, issuing, and auditing authorised Nuclear Procedures, which were crucial for ensuring the safe upkeep of Nuclear Steam Raising Plants. Collaborated with external stakeholders (Jacobs, Royal Navy, Rolls-Royce) to guarantee compliance with recognised and mandatory codes. As a technical advisor, served as a member of the Nuclear Emergency response team. Additionally, played a pivotal role as part of the Procedure Authorisation Group. Provided guidance to internal stakeholders on the correct processes in accordance with recognised codes.
