Lead Asia Pacific regional IT restructuring, with full accountability of all IT functions/ projects for LANXESS offices in APAC (Australia, China, India, Japan, Korea, Singapore and Vietnam) serving over 2,000 IT users across 37 office, production and R&D sites. Identified inefficiencies in prevailing outsourced IT service model and led transition to in-house solutions, saving significant third party costs while ensuring robust IT support for regional offices. Key initiatives include establishment of APAC Regional Data Center in Singapore and development of comprehensive suite of turnkey IT solutions. Positioned company for future growth by streamlining IT landscape as well as business processes in finance and procurement functions, driving change management initiative in global SAP system migration from local ERP systems in Singapore and China (model subsequently tapped for migration in 4 other countries) and introducing global Enterprise Mobility solution in line with evolving work trends. Supported key expansion projects by developing IT blueprint for new plants in Singapore and China, and led post-merger integrations for 3 M&As which successfully expanded LANXESS’ geographical presence, product portfolio and resource capabilities.

Led IT component of global carve-out of Bayer’s chemical businesses in US, spearheading design and set up of regional/ multi-country IT organization with team of 52 FTE's to support 2,000 users across 15 sites. As a member of the senior management team, led multiple cost reduction and technology upgrades to support stabilization and expansion of the newly formed LANXESS Corporation which went on to double its overall business within 4 years. Key achievements include slashing total IT spend by revamping IT service delivery model, championing supply chain process reengineering for scalability of operations and pioneering procurement IT solutions for more visibility and control of IT spend. Led roll-out of business-critical IT services i.e. SAP system, e-business, business warehousing and master data management.

Involved in establishment of SAP Competency Center; developed strategies and methodologies and led SAP projects for multiple Bayer entities including Consumer Care, Health Care and Agricultural Sciences in US. Led US team in development of Global Bayer Functional Template of SAP base functionalities.
