Under my management, membership increased by over 42%, growing StudyPerth’s representation of the sector and revenue.- I secured two major international education conferences for WA (ICEF ANZA 2023 and APAIE 2024) through collaboration with the State government, Education Providers and other stakeholders. I managed resourcing for the ICEF ANZA conference, which drew in over 516 delegates and achieved a satisfaction rate of 98.4% from attendees.- Lead negotiator with State Government stakeholders, securing $2.8 million in funding by aligning StudyPerth’s initiatives with government goals. This also strengthened government relations and helped StudyPerth secure its first longer-term contract.- Prepared, controlled, and monitored budgets and grant applications. Additionally, I prepared detailed reports for acquittal processes, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and effective use of resources.- Presented at workshops, conferences, roundtables, and events and drafted parliamentary inquiries to advocate for international education and address sector challenges. I spotlighted the economic contribution of international education to Western Australia and highlighted issues like the student accommodation crisis.- Introduced new processes and initiatives that enhanced workplace efficiency. The City of Melville is a well-established municipal with over 100,000 residents, covering an area of 52km2. Reporting to the Manager, City Buildings, this role was responsible for project management support for the organisation and the delivery of the City of Melville’s major projects.Key Achievements- Manage the end-to-end delivery of complex/political capital and non-capital projects. My relationships with community groups, internal stakeholders, and state government bodies, supported the successful delivery of these projects. - Prepared systems and processes to support the delivery major projects, such as a $40 million Library Culture Centre and the Food Organic Garden Organics 3 bin rollout. The 3-bin roll out involved validating over 33,000 data sets of addresses and creating over fifty maps for delivery. This exercise managed to avoid the incorrect delivery of over two thousand bins. - Prepared multiple business cases that were approved by the Executive Management Team. This includes a $1million facility that would be used as the template for business cases in the organisation.- Led project management process improvement projects. This includes creating tools and templates supporting the Project Management Framework. These improvements include reducing carry forwards and minimising scope creep. - Lead the formation of the Project Management Office that, improved the transparency of projects in development, supported a consistent approach to project management, improved portfolio management and resource planning, improved links to capital budget planning.- Collated, reviewed, and report to the Executive and Management Leadership Team on projects in development to support project prioritisation. - I reviewed business cases prior to being submitted for approval to the relevant departmental manager. Additionally, I ran project management training across the organisation. Over twenty business cases were submitted within the year.
