My journey began at the U.S. Naval Academy, where I developed a passion for problem-solving and honed my leadership abilities. Graduating with a degree in Pure Mathematics, I quickly transitioned into the high-stakes world of military operations and cyber defense, where every decision could make a significant impact. My career as a Navy officer has been shaped by one core principle: the power of effective leadership to unite people and technology in pursuit of a common goal. From my earliest days as a Reactor Controls Assistant onboard the USS Hawaii and USS Mississippi, I was entrusted with the responsibility of overseeing the maintenance and operation of critical nuclear reactor safety systems. It was here that I first learned the importance of precision and attention to detail. As I progressed through the ranks, I had the privilege of serving in roles that demanded not only technical expertise but also strategic leadership and operational foresight. As the Communications Systems Maintenance Manager aboard the USS Carl Vinson. I was tasked with leading 20 technicians and managing a $20M communications equipment portfolio, I successfully coordinated the installation of cutting-edge systems never before used on Navy platforms. This was a defining moment in my career, where I realized the importance of not just maintaining the status quo, but pushing the boundaries of innovation to enhance mission success. However, my most challenging—and fulfilling—role came when I was appointed Deputy Director of Operations at U.S. Fleet Cyber Command. In this position, I directed a team of 40 operations managers and analysts in overseeing Navy-wide cyber incident response and offensive cyber operations. The scope of our mission was vast, impacting 15K+ personnel across 28 commands. I spearheaded multiple high-profile operations, led integrated training exercises, and delivered over 100 operational status briefs to senior leadership. The stakes were high, but I thrived under the pressure. I found deep satisfaction in developing and refining processes that improved our operational effectiveness and mission outcomes.Currently, I am pursuing my PMP, Scrum, and CISSP certifications, as I believe in continuous professional development to stay ahead in an ever-evolving field. I thrive in environments where technology and leadership intersect, and my goal is to continue leveraging my expertise in network security, cyber operations, and tactical systems to drive impactful solutions for organizations.
