As Head of Finance for this £140m division I was involved in all it key decision making, ranging from strategic pricing decisions to the casting for TV advertising campaigns.Great job - but I left in April 1991 shortly after the birth of my first child in April 1991 in order to have a better work life balance. As my final contribution I produced a 20 page report on how to improve divisional profits.

After qualifying in the Leeds office I moved to the St Albans office where I became a manager and was "fast tracked" for partnership. I was responsible for a portfolio of audit clients based both locally in the Home Counties, and as far as away as Monaco and the USA. As an audit manager I lead a team of qualified and part qualified accountants. And as "Staff manager" I was also responsible for recruiting 15 graduates every year.(¯`*•.
