Member of the WVARNG since 1992, and on Active Duty since 2007. Serve as leader and senior mentor for all the National Guard's 128 Warrant Officers. Acted in a collaborative role that included consensus building with senior and junior leaders. Facilitated new initiatives to improve processes and procedures.♦ Executive Chair of a five-state group as part of the Senior Warrant Officer Advisory Council for the 54 states and territories. ♦ Refined a life cycle management program that follows an officer from creation to retirement. The West Virginia Army National Guard is #1 in the 54 states and territories for total career management for Warrant Officers. ♦ Empowered and challenged Officers at all levels to mentor and guide subordinates leading to successful recruiting and retention. ARMY AVIATOR AND COMMANDEROperated in the UH-1H, UH-1V, OH-58C, UH-60A, and HH-60L. Deployments include Kosovo 2004-05, Afghanistan 2009/10, and Africa 2013.♦ Awarded the Air Medal for combat mission. ♦ Received the Broken Wing Award for actions during a life threatening in flight emergency.♦ Developed and implemented a safety program for an Army fixed wing unit that provided scheduled air service for the government in a combat and non-combat role. Successfully managed and administered the safety program for a fixed wing detachment for over 5 years which included a deployment to Afghanistan with over 60 personnel and 6 airplanes.♦ Supervise seven-unit members while operating in the U.S. as well as while deployed conducting combat operations. ♦ Commander of the State Flight Detachment for 6 years tasked with providing the government with scheduled air service throughout the country utilizing a King Air 200 (C-12).

Received specialized training as an Explosive Detection K-9 Handler, State Police Helicopter Pilot, Hostage Negotiation, Interdiction and Advanced Homicide Investigation. Successful conducted major criminal investigations in both state and federal courts. Additional duties as a State Police Academy 40 hour Police Report Writing Instructor and Officer Survivability. Represented the State Police Plan B members as a Consolidated Public Retirement Board member.
