Raised on a strawberry farm in Plant City, Florida, Steve became interested in PC and software systems in the early 1980s. He further developed that interest while a student at USF College of Engineering. Subsequently, he was involved with projects with NASA, GAF, Wal-Mart, Federal Reserve Check Conversion Pilot Program, Visa, and many more. Steve’s interest in data security and processes resulted in the OmniFund® Payment as a Platform® application. Following the sale of OmniFund to Fortis Payments in late 2021, and after 25+ years in the technology, Steve Roderick officially retired from the payments industry to concentrate on other projects.Following his exit from the payment industry, Steve pursued his passion for redesigning and restoring signature properties. Over the years, Steve has remodeled thirteen residential properties, with nine on the Historic Registry. In 2020, Steve and his son Matthew teamed up to build outdoor kitchens for local customers. During this process, they developed a method to take the concept nationally, and Outdoor Kitchen Kings was launched. In June 2023, Steve purchased Eagle Island Publishing, LLC, which publishes FireWatch Magazine, a publication that addresses Veteran lifestyle issues. Steve and his wife Stacy operate The Lone Magnolia Foundation, a 501c3 non-profit dedicated to supporting organizations focusing on the health and welfare of our nation's veterans.Steve, his wife Stacy, their two dogs, zebra, and various farm animals reside at Lone Magnolia Farms in South Carolina.
