Lead in all aspects of the company's daily operations. Responsible for the operation and delivery of the consulting, program Management, and support functions at ShapeBlue globally. Oversee direct project management for large customer engagements and lead a number of major public and private cloud implementations.

I was approached by the CEO of an exciting new tech startup to manage their first significant project, provide operational guidance to the technical team and set up the processes necessary to achieve smooth project delivery and efficient, scalable logistics. Initially a contractor, after the completion of this project I was offered a full-time role to manage all future projects, but more importantly ensure the CEO could focus on developing the business by taking on the majority of day-to-day matters.

Octavia Information Systems was purchased by Fifosys in December of 2010. The merger of the companies opened up a role of Senior Technical Account Manager, a role which I successfully applied for. My responsibilities remained broadly the same as my previous role at Octavia, but I would now become involved in the project management and procurement processes. This was key to my goal of a 360 degree understanding of how such a business operates, getting hands-on experience in every department and discipline.

Promoted to Technical Team Manager. My support and project workload remained the same, but I was now responsible for managing and leading a team of system engineers. This responsibility included arranging appointments, managing the team diary and delegating all new incidents, and acting as the escalation point for the more challenging issues. I also provided technical leadership and mentoring where necessary.

Working within a small, highly technical team for this managed support service, I was responsible for all aspects of the systems supported. This included server and network infrastructure, file, print, messaging, remote access, and backups. This was provided both remotely and onsite. Projects included systems consolidation, office moves, disaster recovery planning, site to site VPN implementation.
