A flexible passionate and dedicated scientist. Developed from 10 years drug discovery with Pfizer, focusing on pain and neuroscience. Expert in all aspects of gene expression from RNA safe tissue collection through to QPCR and gene chip data analysis. Followed by 14 years in innovative biotech, developing new ligands for tough drug targets, securing funding and enabling cutting research on very tight budgets. Also with experience at Reading University (lecturing), University of Kent (Researcher) and Canterbury Christ Church University (sessional lecturer) has given me a good insight into academic work too.Two Biopesticide patents, one cosmetic peptide and safe captive husbandry for the dangerous animals patent (lapsed).Over 30 publications demonstrating the depth of my expertise in venom biochemistry, microbiology, envenomation medicine through to venomous animal biology and veterinary care. With early career papers in gene expression and genomics.
