One of 7 Community Power Hubs across the State funded by Sustainability Victoria, the BSW Hub delivered numerous valuable community projects within a short timeframe of just 9 months, completing all deliverables to a very high standard, attracting praise from SV and a Green Achiever award from City of Greater Geelong. Managing a team of 4, I oversaw the delivery of:- 3 x Feasibility Studies (Queenscliff Community Battery, Apollo Bay Energy Autonomy, BSW Community Energy Retailer)- Energy Tips website (innovative online resource focused on energy efficiency - energytips.org,au)- Webinar & Forum Series (Community engagement, education and inspiration)- 5 x Community solar projects (60kW YMCA Geelong, 25kW Pt.Lonsdale Bowls Club, 35kW Torquay Tigers FNC Club, 15kW Anglesea Arthouse, 10kW Apollo Bay Mechanics Hall)- Community Energy Revolving Fund (Interest-free finance mechanism for community energy projects, with over $212k already donated and available for projects)

Core member of the Environment team focused on emissions reporting, renewables implementation, energy efficiency, community engagement, development of region-wide adaptation and mitigation strategies - Design & implement emissions reduction strategies to meet COS’ 2020 carbon neutral target- Establish networks with LGAs, community groups and other stakeholders across the region- Design and deliver a range of programs focussed on climate adaptation and resilience- Liaise with community groups to provide funding, knowledge support and promotion- Manage and report on all sustainability initiatives within Council- Attract funding for environmental initiatives and manage budgets

- Coordinate rollout of extensive public housing research project aimed at reducing bill costs for tenants by installing high efficiency appliances - Visit householders to assess options for energy upgrades- Gather qualitative and quantitative data on energy use- One of the first in Vic qualified to conduct energy efficiency audits using the Victorian Government’s Residential Efficiency Scorecard tool- Engage installers to determine viability of upgrades- Measure, survey and report on energy improvements- Provide ongoing quality assurance

- Responsible for delivering the 2nd National Community Energy Congress- Compose and design all communications and reports - Manage budgets and attract sponsors- Engage participants from across the energy sector- Establish timelines and delivery schedules- Engage suppliers, contractors and volunteers- Conduct OHS compliance checks

- Responsible for delivering the inaugural MEFL Conference - Plan, design and schedule all aspects of the event- Manage event team and volunteers- Engage industry participants - Develop communications strategy- Design and print marketing collateral- Write reports

- Deliver solar bulk-buy and energy efficiency programs - Liaise between local businesses, residents and council - Develop community education collateral, including presentations on renewable energy and other sustainability initiatives- Attract participants using various community engagement techniques- Record details of all communications with stakeholders- Write detailed reports

- A key member of BSL's Financial Inclusion team as part of the federally-funded Home Energy Efficiency Upgrade Project (HEEUP)- Research solutions and educate program participants around home energy usage- Advise low income households on upgrading and financing high efficiency hot water systems- Support the coordination of service delivery activities- Collect and provide data for the ongoing monitoring and evaluation of program activities- Data management, reflective practice, forecasting and analysis- Considerable stakeholder engagement with councils, community groups, retailers, suppliers, contractors, housing providers and a large number of program participants

- Manage relationships with stakeholders- Conduct inter-departmental meetings to establish requirements for bump in and out of Opening and Closing Ceremonies- Research and implement supplier contracts - Schedule delivery and pickup of goods - Manage all aspects of venue operation, including managing a crew of up to 50 skilled and unskilled workers- Ensure OHS compliance in all spaces - conduct daily venue checks- Monitor and maintain plant equipment
