My primary duties as a software developer revolved around utilizing PHP, Microsoft SQL Server, and ExtJS to develop a high-volume web-based product for accounts payable automation. I've also maintained an iOS and Android mobile app using Sencha Touch and Apache Cordova. And most recently, I've worked on a communications application that uses AWS, .NET Core, SignalR, and PostgreSQL to host discussions on documents between two different web applications.

I began development at Discovery working on a custom, Zend-based CMS for managing text, image, and video content for all of Discovery Communications's US network websites. In addition the content management system, I also worked on the Django front-ends for the individual TV network websites. Later on, I'd worked on the new WordPress/Carrington CMS, building responsive front-ends for interactive content.

As a software engineer at Fannie Mae, in the multifamily underwriting group, I developed a visualization tool for multifamily property analytics using PHP, ExtJS and Oracle 11g. Using Oracle Spatial, I greatly enhanced the geospatial searching and filtering capabilities, allowing the users to drill-down to highly specific data sets.

At August Schell Enterprises, I served as primary User Interface Developer for an enterprise, browser-based server automation console. I provided key guidance in updating the previous version of the software to use the Django framework with jQuery to provide richer controls to manage the large-scale provisioning of virtual servers with full-featured server quota monitoring and delegation with a customizable interface to suit a client’s individual branding specifications.

I worked with a team of software developers to provide geospatial visualization services using Google Earth Enterprise, PostgreSQL with PostGIS, PHP, and the ExtJS/Sencha JavaScript framework. These services provide near real-time data visualization projected on a globe to provide better context for complex information sets in a web browser. Major contributions include creating custom functionality to provide simulations of real situations in 3D space, providing clear and rich user interfaces for complex feature sets and architecting the server-side implementation of a mobile intelligence gathering tool to be used with iPhone and Android applications

As a software engineer for Vecna Technologies, I utilized Java, PostgreSQL and Python to improve the deployment, support and scalability of Vecna's PathFinder infection tracking software. Major contributions include the creation of SQL scripts to solve complex data migrations, a custom library of Python modules to automate database and application upgrades, creating scripts to upgrade multiple servers simultaneously, and writing documented guidance for a system of Java/JavaScript programs to receive and parse a wide variety of of HL7 encoded medical data.
